On Friday, November 12, 2021, Justin Kutscherousky, Director of Innovation, was given the opportunity to speak in front of 40 occupational therapy students at UT Health San Antonio. After a brief lecture on the mechanics of 3D printing, 3D printing’s role in medical technology, and how to use the design-thinking process to create affordable and easy-to-use tools, the students then broke off into groups to create 16 different objects for 16 different case studies. TMI welcomes Bruce Bowen as Head Boys Basketball Coach

TMI welcomes three-time NBA Champion and eight-time NBA All-Defensive Team San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen to the Panther community as Head Boys Basketball Coach. A 12-year NBA veteran known for his ability to stop the league’s best scorers, Bowen ranks sixth on the Spurs all-time list in 3PT-FG made and is just the fourth San Antonio Spur to earn all defensive honors three or more times, joining David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Alvin Robertson. On Friday, April 9, the opening reception of Coalesce, a solo exhibition by TMI Fine Arts Teacher Cassie Gnehm, was held at Clamp Light Artist Studios & Gallery. Cassie’s artwork will be displayed at Clamp Light Artist Studios & Gallery from April 9, 2021-May 1, 2021. ABOUT THE EXHIBITION Coalesce is a solo exhibition by Cassie Gnehm, a current Clamp Light Resident Artist. Gnehm is exhibiting a series of recent oil and acrylic paintings created during the COVID-19 quarantine. TMI welcomes Dr. Jasmine B. Harris, beginning July 1, as the Associate Head of School for the 2021-2022 school year. Jasmine brings over 27 years of private and public school experience to TMI, most recently serving as Head of School at St. Philip’s Episcopal School in Coral Gables, Florida. Fine Arts teacher commissioned by COSA World Heritage Office

TMI Fine Arts Teacher Cassie Gnehm was commissioned by The City of San Antonio World Heritage Office to do a painting commemorating the life of Madame Candalaria, who is known for numerous accomplishments in San Antonio, but most known for her story of nursing the ailing Jim Bowie during the siege of the Alamo. Both varsity lacrosse coaches at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas received top district honors from the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL). Head Lacrosse Coach John Beck was named Coach of the Year for the league’s San Antonio district, and Blake Skinner was named Assistant Coach of the Year. The team clinched its third district championship in a row with a 15-3 win April 21 over Smithson Valley High School, qualifying for regional playoffs to determine the teams that will compete in playoffs for the state championship. TMI takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas took the big chill for charity Friday, Aug. 15, when nearly 50 faculty and staff lined up in the school’s Johnston Amphitheater to douse themselves with buckets of ice, following a nationwide trend in support of awareness of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
