On Saturday, April 10, 2021, close to 330 guests came together in support of our school’s annual Stars Over TMI gala & auction. This year’s event theme, Celebrating the Best and the Brightest, paid tribute to the incredible people, mission, and highlights at TMI during this extraordinary year. Claudia Monsálvez Clark elected as Vice President of the San Antonio Classical Society

MAY 7, 2021–Congratulations to World Languages Teacher Claudia Monsálvez Clark who was elected by area Latin teachers last weekend as the Vice President of the San Antonio Classical Society during the spring meeting. LePort selected to serve on Educational Resources and Review Committee

MAY 7, 2021 – Congratulations to Humanities Teacher Dr. Brian LePort on being nominated and selected to serve on the Educational Resources and Review Committee for the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL). SBL is the largest international society of scholars studying literature related to the Bible. The Educational Resources and Review Committee “addresses the need for accurate, academically-sound classroom resources on sacred texts for secondary schools, as well as resources that inform and educate the general public.” Dr. LePort’s involvement is expected to focus on shaping curriculum that’s appropriate for secondary/high school students. TMI finishes in Top 10 in Track & Field State Championship, boys division

MAY 3, 2021 – This past weekend on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, our TMI Episcopal Track & Field team members competed in the State Championships held in Waco, TX. TMI fielded five athletes in seven events and placed in the Top 10 in the boys division. APRIL 28, 2021 – Ifigenia “Niya” Omiridis, a freshman at TMI Episcopal, was named as one of 23 local high-school students accepted to the Voelcker Biomedical Research Academy at UT Health San Antonio. Starting as rising sophomores, students commit to three summer sessions of seven weeks each. This elite program pairs participants with outstanding biomedical scientists from UT Health, who have included Nobel Prize winners. TMI Episcopal partners with Department of Occupational Therapy at UT Health San Antonio

APRIL 26, 2021 – TMI Episcopal announced today that it will be partnering with the Department of Occupational Therapy at UT Health San Antonio during the 2021-2022 school year. Students enrolled in TMI’s Innovation & Design classes will be working with the Occupational Therapy doctoral students at UT Health to bring functional products to members of the San Antonio community who need them most. Using human-centered design principles, TMI students will design, prototype, and test products that make the lives of those who are differently abled easier.
