Gretchen Tiede ’23 was selected to attend the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar in Annapolis, MD, and the U.S. Military Academy Summer Leaders Experience (SLE) at West Point, NY, this June. J. Barron Cohoon Selected For Two Prestigious Summer Programs

J. Barron Cohoon ’23 was selected to attend the Summer Leader Experience (SLE) at the United States Military Academy at West Point and was accepted into the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar. The West Point SLE provides rising high school seniors with a week-long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a cadet.  As an attendee of SLE, Barron will get a taste of Cadet Life through the entire program. Homma Named Semifinalist in U.S. Presidential Scholars Program

Sara Cristina Homma, a graduating senior at TMI Episcopal, has been named one of 620 semifinalists in the 2022 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The semifinalists were selected from over 5,000 candidates expected to graduate from U.S. high schools in the year 2022. Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, now in its 58th year, is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Gabby Beck selected to attend the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar

Gabby Beck ’23 was selected to attend the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar this June. This program provides an opportunity to learn more about life as a cadet at the Academy. Students are selected to participate in Summer Seminar based on a “whole person concept” that includes demonstrated leadership experience or potential in extracurricular and community activities, athletics, and academics. Historically, more than 3,200 people apply and roughly 640 are selected. Jorge Rodriguez qualified for the National Western Development Gymnastics Competition

On April 3, 2022, TMI student Jorge Rodriguez ’27, a Junior Olympian and part of the Alamo Gymnastics San Antonio team, competed in the regional championships held in Gonzales, LA, where he qualified for the National Western Development Competition. Jorge began his gymnastic career at the age of 4, and began competing at the age of 6. He has many accomplishments including being selected for the All Future Stars Development Team USA Boys Gymnastic team in 2017 and winning 2nd place in all-around for the state of Texas is 2018. Brooke Kapoor is Miss Gulf Coast’s Outstanding Teen

Brooke Kapoor ’24 won the title of Miss Gulf Coast’s Outstanding Teen and will advance on to the state competition of Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen in June. This title is under the scholarship organization of Miss America. They provide scholarships for continuing education for young women all across the country. Brooke’s platform is on Childhood Cancer, raising awareness and funds for research for pediatric cancer. Gabby Beck Chosen as 2022-2023 Model

Gabby Beck was selected as a Class of 2023 Senior Model for Robin Jansky Photography. Senior models receive an official model shoot in May/June of their junior year to showcase the upcoming fashion trends and to become the faces of Robin Jansky Photography for 2023 senior portraits. The model team also participates in local volunteer opportunities, such as Soldier’s Angels. Robin Jansky’s work has been featured in Senior Style Guide, Modern Teen Style, Inspiring Teen Magazine, Modern Senior, and many others. Congratulations, Gabby! Sara Homma ’22 was selected as a  YoungArts award finalist, one of only 17 visual arts high school students nationwide.
