TMI is pleased to announce that 65 Upper School students who took Advanced Placement exams last spring qualified as AP Scholars.  Of these, 25 were recognized as AP Scholar, 15 as AP Scholar with Honor, and 25 as AP Scholar with Distinction. Please read below to view a list of all AP Scholars along with the criteria for awards. National Latin Exam honors

MAY 20, 2021–TMI Episcopal Latin students took the National Latin Exam this spring, joining 88,000 students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, as well as 20 foreign countries. Once again, TMI Latin students proved to be some of the best and brightest as two students, 7th grader Henry Burgos and 8th grader Olivia Tally, achieved the most prestigious Perfect Paper award as well as gold medals. Texas State Junior Classical League Convention awardees

APRIL 29, 2021 – Congratulations to our TMI Episcopal Latin students who competed this past weekend at the virtual Texas State Junior Classical League Convention against the best and brightest in the state. TMI student accepted by prestigious research program

APRIL 28, 2021 – Ifigenia “Niya” Omiridis, a freshman at TMI Episcopal, was named as one of 23 local high-school students accepted to the Voelcker Biomedical Research Academy at UT Health San Antonio. Starting as rising sophomores, students commit to three summer sessions of seven weeks each. This elite program pairs participants with outstanding biomedical scientists from UT Health, who have included Nobel Prize winners. TMI Episcopal partners with Department of Occupational Therapy at UT Health San Antonio

APRIL 26, 2021 – TMI Episcopal announced today that it will be partnering with the Department of Occupational Therapy at UT Health San Antonio during the 2021-2022 school year. Students enrolled in TMI’s Innovation & Design classes will be working with the Occupational Therapy doctoral students at UT Health to bring functional products to members of the San Antonio community who need them most. Using human-centered design principles, TMI students will design, prototype, and test products that make the lives of those who are differently abled easier. On Saturday, February 27, 2021, TMI Latin students competed at the annual Texas State Junior Classical League (TSJCL) Area B Convention, which is a part of the National Junior Classical League – an organization of middle school and senior high school students sponsored by the American Classical League. TMI Academic WorldQuest teams capture 2nd and 3rd place

Two TMI teams participated in the Academic WorldQuest competition sponsored the World Affairs Council of San Antonio on Tuesday, February 23rd. The Junior-Senior team included senior Erik Peterson and juniors Evan Gardner, Farouk Ramzan, and Jack Waters. The Freshmen-Sophomore team included sophomores Elise Bostian and Owen Bruhn, with freshmen Khivan Raina and Calvin Walls. Both were quizzed on their knowledge of international relations and current events, with special topics ranging from the legacy of the Arab Spring to the International Labor Organization. National Merit Scholarship and College Board Recognition

Congratulations to the following students who were honored in chapel on Friday, November 13, 2020, for their achievements in being recognized by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Program.
