TMI welcomes Bruce Bowen as Head Boys Basketball Coach

TMI welcomes three-time NBA Champion and eight-time NBA All-Defensive Team San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen to the Panther community as Head Boys Basketball Coach.

A 12-year NBA veteran known for his ability to stop the league’s best scorers, Bowen ranks sixth on the Spurs all-time list in 3PT-FG made and is just the fourth San Antonio Spur to earn all defensive honors three or more times, joining David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Alvin Robertson.

Bruce and Sarah Bowen have 4 boys: Ojani, a current ninth grader at TMI; Ozmel; Max; and Bruno. He is looking forward to being a part of the TMI community and shares that, “It is with great pleasure and excitement I accept the position as head basketball coach of TMI. I look forward to the opportunity of teaching life lessons through the game of basketball. Basketball was and currently is a huge part of my life, I will utilize my experiences to help shape our kids and prepare them for LIFE. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to getting to work!”
