7/16/2018 Adelaide “Addy” Toll, a rising seventh grader at TMI Episcopal, successfully passed her D-3 rating examination for the United States Pony Club (USPC) on June 16 at Pine Hill Equestrian Center in Bellville.To reach this level, Toll, on her horse Passin’ the Class, had to demonstrate riding skills in dressage, show jumping and cross-country. The exam includes a horse-management section for which she answered questions and presented a record book on horse care (feed, exercise, finances and health). TMI freshman attends Auburn vet camp

7/14/2018 Hannah Growney, a rising freshman at TMI Episcopal, successfully completed Auburn Vet Camp, held June 17-22 at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, Ala. Out of 450 applicants, she was one of 50 students chosen to participate, based on grades, recommendations and an essay. The summer program for students entering grades 9-11 who are interested in careers in veterinary medicine. Campers learn about anatomy, first aid, imagining, public health, farm animals and wildlife. Rising senior completes USNA Summer Seminar

6/21/2018 Jessica Cox, a rising senior at TMI Episcopal, completed the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) Summer Seminar, held June 9-14 on campus in Annapolis, Md.For high-achieving students between their junior and senior years of high school, the program introduces prospective applicants to life at the Academy with a week of academics, athletics, and professional training. Students who successfully complete the Summer Seminar may go on to apply for USNA admission the following year. Participants live on campus, are taught by Academy faculty and led in group workouts by midshipmen (current Academy students) and other Navy personnel. TMI freshman accepted to Georgetown program

5/8/2018 – Aaron Mills, a freshman at TMI Episcopal, has been accepted to the JSA summer program for high-school students at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., where he will study AP (Advanced Placement) Comparative Government.The program is one of three sponsored on college campuses – at Georgetown, Princeton and Stanford universities – by the Junior State of America (JSA) Foundation. The three-week Georgetown summer program combines the study of government with a high-level speakers program and nightly student debates. Admission to the summer programs is competitive; JSA accepts about one-third of more than 2,000 applications received each year. TMI student shoots high score in national skeet competition

Michael Galo III, a junior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas won a top place in the National Skeet Shooting Association’s World Championships, which began Sept. 28 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. More than 750 shooters took part in the weeklong event. Galo broke 546 out of 550 targets, a score that earned him Fifth Place High All Around. All five students representing TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas who attended the national convention of the Junior Classical League earned Top 10 places in competition at their respective levels. TMI students compete at Texas State Junior Classical League Convention, Mar. 27-28, 2015

This past weekend, TMI students had the opportunity to travel to Amarillo and compete at the 2015 Texas State Junior Classical League Convention. Students from all over the state gathered at Amarillo High School on Friday, March 27, 2015 for the first round of academic tests and continued on Saturday, March 28. Eric Gibbons, a junior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, has been selected to serve as a member of the inaugural SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Youth Advisory Council. The Council brings together young leaders from across the country, ranging in age from 14-20, to provide input and ideas to SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment and its partners regarding conservation initiatives, education programs, and strategies for reaching and engaging young people in conservation work. Ana Paula Velasco, a sophomore at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, attended the National Youth Leadership Forum for National Security in Washington D.C., March 10-15, during her school’s spring break. This invitation-only, six-day course provided high-school students from all over the country with an interest in careers in security with a hands-on opportunity to develop their understanding in the fields of intelligence, defense and diplomacy.
