Eric Gibbons, a junior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, has been selected to serve as a member of the inaugural SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Youth Advisory Council. The Council brings together young leaders from across the country, ranging in age from 14-20, to provide input and ideas to SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment and its partners regarding conservation initiatives, education programs, and strategies for reaching and engaging young people in conservation work. The members of this Council will serve a two year term, during which time they will work alongside leading professionals in the fields of conservation and education and elevate the importance of youth leadership in these fields. Seventeen members, including Eric, were selected to serve on this Council as a result of their experiences in conservation, youth-leadership, and service programs.
Eric organized SeaWorld’s recent visit to TMI that helped raise over $2,000 that benefitted the SeaWorld Conservation Fund. For more information on the work of SeaWorld & Busch Gardens visit www.seaworld.com.
