Alpha Company 2nd Platoon, Best Drilled

In December, both platoons from each company competed against each other in a competition known as Best Drilled Platoon. The platoon sergeants lead the platoons in a series of guidelines that they must adhere by in order to achieve a perfect score. The guidelines consist of inspection and knowledge, drilling and facing movements, and a special exhibition move that the platoons must create and perform at the end of their routine. TMI cadets and Kampmann recipients at the Kampmann family reception

TMI cadets were on hand to usher at the Friday evening plaque dedication at the Menger Hotel, February 1, honoring John Herman Kampmann by the Texas Historical Commission. Two TMI seniors, Lauren Chu and Emily Schlosberg, are this year’s recipients of the merit scholarship named after Mrs. Kampmann. TMI students team up for wounded warriors

Members of the HOME (Helping Our Military Everywhere) Club of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas bring their “D” game – that’s D for dodgeball – whenever they visit wounded warriors at the Center for the Intrepid (CFI), the rehabilitation service provider at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). Falon Little, a junior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, has been named a semifinalist in the 24th Annual Christian Athlete of the Year Awards for Texas. There are 75 female and 75 male semifinalists chosen from more than 4,500 applicants.Students are nominated by their schools’ coaches, teachers or athletic directors. TMI student hit high notes at piping meet

Lincoln Abbott, a freshman at TMI, won top places including a first-place award as a bagpiper in all four events he entered Nov. 10 at the Salado Piping, Drumming and Band Competition. In the individual piping category, Amateur Junior Grade IV, Lincoln won first place in the 2/4 March event, second place in Piobaireachd (classical music of the Scottish Highlands), second place in Strathspey/reel (traditional dance music and fourth place in 6/8 March. Medal of Honor recipient shares leadership lessons

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Patrick H. The Texas Military Institute Corps of Cadets recognized freshman Ashley Kim as Upper School Cadet of the Month and seventh-grader Ian Bickerton as Middle School Cadet of the Month for October. Both honorees were recognized during daily chapel at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas. Both competed against two other cadets in their divisions, representing the Corps’ three companies.
