TMI sent a team of student golfers to the Bishop’s Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, November 4th. It was a scramble organized by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Four students attended: Bernardo Medina ’26, Andrew Fera ’24, Elise Miles ’23, and Julia Hansen ’26. The students played very well and finished 8th out of the 30 teams competing with a score of 61 (11 under par). Bernardo won the men’s longest drive with a drive of 310 yds. TMI Cross Country competed in the TAPPS 5A State Meet in Waco on Monday and came away with some hardware! On the boys side Franco Parra ’24 finished first overall as the boys State Champion! His brother, Marcelo Parra ’24, who won the 2021 championship, finished second overall. Kevin Love ’23 finished 7th overall and all three boys were named to the TAPPS All-State Team. The boys team was edged out of the team state title by 7 points, finishing second. On the girls side, our Panthers finished 4th place, which is the highest team finish for our girls.
