Aidan Notzon ’24, AugustHeart’s Student Ambassador, spoke at the annual AugustHeart “Hearts of Texas” Fundraiser on Thursday, November 3, about how young lives like our own Jackson Mohr, August Koontz, and many others lost their lives from undiagnosed genetic heart conditions. Aidan spoke about the ride home with his mom from Nelson Wolfe Stadium on April 18, 2021 after attending Jackson’s Celebration of Life and how impactful that day was for him. TMI Students Competed in the Bishop’s Classic Golf Tournament

TMI sent a team of student golfers to the Bishop’s Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, November 4th. It was a scramble organized by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Four students attended: Bernardo Medina ’26, Andrew Fera ’24, Elise Miles ’23, and Julia Hansen ’26. The students played very well and finished 8th out of the 30 teams competing with a score of 61 (11 under par). Bernardo won the men’s longest drive with a drive of 310 yds. Cross Country State Meet Results

TMI Cross Country competed in the TAPPS 5A State Meet in Waco on Monday and came away with some hardware! On the boys side Franco Parra ’24 finished first overall as the boys State Champion! His brother, Marcelo Parra ’24, who won the 2021 championship, finished second overall. Kevin Love ’23 finished 7th overall and all three boys were named to the TAPPS All-State Team. The boys team was edged out of the team state title by 7 points, finishing second.
