National Latin Exam honors

MAY 20, 2021–TMI Episcopal Latin students took the National Latin Exam this spring, joining 88,000 students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, as well as 20 foreign countries. Once again, TMI Latin students proved to be some of the best and brightest as two students, 7th grader Henry Burgos and 8th grader Olivia Tally, achieved the most prestigious Perfect Paper award as well as gold medals. Corps Raider Team competition results

MAY 14, 2021–Our TMI Corps of Cadets male and female Raider Teams received their awards this week from the Birdville ISD Raider Team invitational held in February. The teams were presented with their trophies during the end-of-year Corps party on Wednesday. On Saturday, April 10, 2021, close to 330 guests came together in support of our school’s annual Stars Over TMI gala & auction. Claudia Monsálvez Clark elected as Vice President of the San Antonio Classical Society

MAY 7, 2021–Congratulations to World Languages Teacher Claudia Monsálvez Clark who was elected by area Latin teachers last weekend as the Vice President of the San Antonio Classical Society during the spring meeting. LePort selected to serve on Educational Resources and Review Committee

MAY 7, 2021 – Congratulations to Humanities Teacher Dr. Brian LePort on being nominated and selected to serve on the Educational Resources and Review Committee for the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL). SBL is the largest international society of scholars studying literature related to the Bible. The Educational Resources and Review Committee “addresses the need for accurate, academically-sound classroom resources on sacred texts for secondary schools, as well as resources that inform and educate the general public.” Dr. LePort’s involvement is expected to focus on shaping curriculum that’s appropriate for secondary/high school students.
