The Texas Military Institute Corps of Cadets (JROTC) of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas announced its October Cadet of the Month awards for Upper and Middle School. They are: Ana Paula Velasco, a sophomore in Charlie Company; and Jordan Aw, a seventh grader also in Charlie Company.

These cadets were nominated by their companies to compete in the monthly contest. Cadets were inspected, quizzed on TMI Corps knowledge and local and national chains of command until there was one winner from each division.

As recipients of a Cadet of the Month award, they qualify to compete for Cadet of the Semester and Cadet of the Year awards.

The TMI Corps of Cadets has been designated an Honor Unit with Distinction for the past 21 years consecutively. This is the highest level of Army JROTC recognition, determined by the results of an Annual Formal Inspection.
