TMI boys cross country wins state championship, girls place 9th

Congratulations to the boys cross country team on winning the TAPPS 5A State Championship yesterday, November 1, 2021. Marcelo Parra ’24 was the individual State champion. 16:22 Franco Parra ’24 was the runner-up. 16:24 Kevin Love ’23, Eben Muir ’24, Kaden Fenno ’25, Kevin Kessler ’25, Marcelo Sotomayor ’24 rounded out the boys team. TMI X-country runners headed for State

The varsity girls cross-country team of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas earned second place in the TAPPS 4-4A District Meet, held Oct. 18 in Corpus Christi. Freshman runner Ana Ross took first in the individual varsity girls race, and the varsity boys team won second overall. In the JV boys race, freshman Jacob Carter tied for third, and sophomore Austin Miller came in sixth. TMI X-country athletes nab top places at UIW meet

Three cross-country athletes from TMI ran for top finishes at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational meet, held Oct. 6 in Live Oak City Park. Juniors Berkeley Brown and Falon Little took first and second place in the Girls JV 2-Mile run, both achieving personal records with times of 12:55 and 13:18 minutes; while junior Christopher Pietraszkiewicz took second place in the Boys Gold Race 5K with a time of 16:45 minutes. Panthers finish fast at H-E-B Zoo Fun Run

Members of the TMI cross-country team ran fast times at the H-E-B Zoo Fun Run, held Sept. 9 at the San Antonio Zoo, with teams of four competing. The team entered the fun run “to prepare us for our next big meet at UTSA,” said Head Varsity Cross-Country Coach Carrie Ridewood. In keeping with the theme of the event, the athletes wore their TMI team uniforms and decorated their faces to suggest their favorite animals.
