TMI student chosen for leadership training
Carson Moore, a rising junior at TMI Episcopal, was selected to represent his school at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar for the Texas Capital Area, held virtually from June 11-13.
At TMI, Moore is a member of the Corps of Cadets (Army JROTC), the National Honor Society and National Latin Honor Society, and played on the 2021 state-champion varsity soccer team.
The mission of HOBY is to inspire and prepare future young leaders for a life dedicated to leadership, service and innovation. The program was established in 1959 by actor Hugh O’Brian following a visit to Africa, where he was inspired by a meeting with noted humanitarian Dr. Albert Schweitzer.
Founded in 1893, TMI is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory school for grades 6-12, with optional Junior ROTC and boarding programs. For information, visit www.tmi-sa.org or call 698-7171.
