TMI Episcopal students collected school supplies to donate to the Battered Women’s and Children’s Center in San Antonio. The drive was organized by students in the school’s Interact Club, a Rotary-sponsored youth community-service organization, partnering with the school’s Health Center and Koplin Consulting, a behavioral-health service.
Students contributed backpacks and other school supplies for children in the shelter, who need them because families staying there typically leave their homes in the middle of the night, leaving most of their belongings behind. Donated items help prevent children at the shelter from standing out at school during an already difficult time in their lives.
The TMI items presented March 6 included binders, folders, paper, pens and pencils notebooks and uniform polo shirts and khaki pants.
