Ten members of the varsity tennis team of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas won eligibility through regular-season victories to compete at the TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) State Tennis Championships , held April 23-24 in the Waco Regional Tennis Center.
Freshman Paulina Garcia won two matches, qualifying herself as a state semifinalist, and senior Berkeley Brown, team captain, won her first match to qualify as a quarterfinalist.
“The 2014 season was a memorable one,” said TMI Head Coach Steve Landkamer. “With a young team, we look forward next year for a chance to further continue the upward trajectory that TMI tennis has seen in the past few years. “
