TMI juniors qualify for National Merit

Six juniors from TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas have met requirements to enter the 2014 National Merit Scholarship competition. Berkeley E. Brown, Jonathan “JAC” Clark, Taylor Devlin, Morgan Garbett, Chase Wisnowski and Susannah Wright were recognized in daily chapel, Thursday, April 18, for their achievement.

These students are among the 50,000 highest-scoring participants of some 1.5 million who took the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). From these qualifiers, about 16,000 will be named National Merit semifinalists, representing the top scorers in each state, and approximately 34,000 others will be named Commended Students in September.
