TMI hosts invitational track meet for 24 area schools

The cross-country team of TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas was host to 24 private and public schools at the Panther Invitational Cross-country Meet, held Aug. 25 on a course prepared by the TMI athletes.

Middle-school and high-school athletes from area schools including Antonian, Saint Mary’s Hall, San Antonio Christian Schools, San Marcos Baptist Academy, Bandera ISD, Hondo ISD and LaPryor ISD were on hand to run the challenging multiterrain course, which included several pavement crossings; short, steep hills; and narrow, wooded trails.

TMI junior Christopher Pietraszkiewicz took second place, and his team finished fourth among varsity boys. TMI’s junior-varsity boys came in third, and varsity and junior varsity girls also earned Top 10 places.

The Panthers also will host the high-school district meet, Oct. 13.
