TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas will hold its annual fundraising gala, Stars Over TMI, on Saturday, Sept. 29, on the school’s campus at 20955 W. Tejas Trail. The evening starts at 6 p.m. and includes a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner by the RK Group, live and silent auctions, a prize drawing for tuition or $10,000 in American Express gift cards and dancing under the stars to the Second Nature Band.
This year’s theme is “Celebrate the Renaissance”; the event honors the legacy of Ruth and Vernon F. Taylor, donors of TMI’s Robert B. Taylor ’39 Scholarship. Also to be honored is L. Tyson Heller, M.D., TMI class of 2002, for years of volunteering in Russian orphanages. Currently a resident in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University, Heller will be honored as a Rising Star, a young alumnus who exemplifies TMI’s core value of servant leadership.
Proceeds from Stars Over TMI, the school’s largest annual fundraiser, benefit academic programs, facilities improvements and student financial aid. Tickets are $150 for individuals; table and other sponsorships also are available.
