Two members of the class of 2012 at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas have received college scholarships through the National Merit Scholarship competition.
Alex Hager was awarded a National Merit Texas A&M University Scholarship. Hager was president of his senior class and recently earned a fifth consecutive gold medal in the National Latin Exam – one of fewer than 100 students nationwide to do so. He will attend A&M in the fall, where he will major in Business Administration and International Studies, and plans a career in diplomacy.
Hamilton Rogers was awarded a National Merit Trinity University Scholarship. Rogers was a staff officer in the Texas Military Institute Corps of Cadets and recently was chosen graduation class speaker by the TMI faculty. He will attend Trinity in the fall, where he will major in neuroscience and engineering and plans a career in medical research and development.
