Marian Amini, a senior at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, competed successfully in the American Paint Horse Association shows this season at area stock shows with her registered Paint Horse, Just Plain English (“Jay”).
At the Fort Worth Stock Show, Marian and Jay competed in a variety of both English and Western events and accumulated the greatest number of points in the Novice Youth division to win Novice Youth High Point.
In February, they competed at The San Antonio Stock Show, this time winning the distinctions of High Point Youth and Reserve High Point Novice Youth. At the Houston Stock Show, Marian and Jay competed in both English and Western disciplines, earning High Point Novice Youth to win a saddle donated by the Gillespie family of Houston.
Marian and Jay have qualified to compete at the World Youth Paint Show in Fort Worth in June where they will square off against competitors from all over the United States, as well as representatives from other countries such as England, Canada and Australia.
