
CPT Andrew Yang is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy (West Point). After graduation, he qualified to fly Apache helicopters and received officer training in military intelligence. He has served In South Korea, at Fort Hood and in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yang will begin graduate school this fall to pursue an MBA from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in global management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, after which he will become a regional commander for West Point admission in the Southwest.
His community-service activities include organizing the Texas Department of Transportation Adopt-a-Highway program in Killeen and leading an outreach program that provided clothes, toys and food to a Korean orphanage. Yang is the recipient of an Army Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal.
