Flores, Kessler, and Martinez Represented TMI at the Texas Great Debate with the National Hispanic Institute

This Summer, a team of National Hispanic Institute (NHI) at San Antonio students from across the city competed in the Texas Great Debate program hosted by the NHI. For the first time ever, the Texas Great Debate was hosted at Schreiner University!  During the three-day program, they competed against their peers from across the state of Texas. Mara Flores ’25, Kevin Kessler ’25, and M. Mara Flores Awarded at the National Hispanic Institute 2022 Texas Great Debate

Mara Flores ’25 won first place in the Cross Examination category with her partner, Avery Parvin, in this year’s National Hispanic Institute 2022 Texas Great Debate Competition. She and her partner competed in the Cross Examination category beating 25 other teams. This year’s Texas Great Debate took place June 11 through June 13 at Schreiner University.
