TMI clay shoot boosts scholarships

8/22/2018 The TMI Alumni Association will host its 18th annual TMI Alumni Modified Sporting Clay Shoot on Friday, Sept. 7, at the San Antonio Gun Club, 928 Contour Drive. The shooting competition, which benefits student scholarships, also includes dinner and an awards program. Participants compete for prizes in team and individual categories, with additional awards for best all-alumni team and best ladies’ team. New this year is a Hot Sauce Contest, open to all, for a chance to win “People’s Choice Best Hot Sauce.” Sponsorships are still available, with opportunities for recognition throughout the event. Alumni Association sets fundraising record at clay shoot

The TMI Alumni Association set a fundraising record at its 17th Annual Modified Sporting Clay Shoot, held Sept. 8 at the San Antonio Gun Club.With 22 teams and a total of 90 participating shooters, the event netted more than $10,000 for the TMI Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship. Shooters included alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends of the school, as well as current members of the TMI Corps of Cadets. The first-place team consisted of Brent Clifton, Grady Engelken, Avery Kibbe of the TMI class of 2000 and Justin Kibbe, TMI 1992.
