Two TMI Episcopal rising seniors were chosen to participate in Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion Post 593 in Converse, TX.  Farouk Ramzan ‘22 and Campbell Streak-Jensen ‘22 completed a virtual gathering earlier this summer where they learned about city, county, and state government structures.  At Boys State, students were elected to various offices and engaged in activities such as legislative sessions, court proceedings, law-enforcement presentations, assemblies, bands, choruses and recreational programs.  Some of their favorite activities were meeting all of their fellow statesmen and debating legislation on the house floor.  They also enjoyed learning the process for passing … Continue reading Ramzan ’22 and Streak-Jensen ’22 complete Boys State

Congratulations to our five rising seniors who attended the 2020 Texas Boys State Summit held virtually this summer. All five students are members of the Corps of Cadets and were sponsored by the American Legion Post 593 in Converse, TX. TMI students attending Boys State were: Josh Thayil (Cadet Battalion Commander), Leon Toursarkissian (Battalion Executive Officer), Teddy Lopez (A Company Commander), Jack Basil (B Company Commander), and Anthony Fletcher (C Company Commander).
