Elise Miles’ ’23 performance this summer in several South Texas PGA Junior golf tournaments in and around San Antonio earned her an invitation to participate in the 2022 Chevrolet South Texas PGA Junior Championship at The Woodlands Country Club (Palmer Course). Presented by Ahead, First Financial Bank, Sam Houston State University’s PGA Golf Management Program, Foresight Sports and HOW Water, this year’s field was one of the largest this annual event has seen, bringing in more than 260 junior golfers ages 6-18 from across southern Texas.  

This year’s Championship took place from Wednesday, July 27, to Thursday, July 28, in The Woodlands, Texas.  While Elise did not capture first, second, or third place in the tournament, she was proud of her performance in such a talented field and greatly enjoyed the experience and championship tournament atmosphere, vowing to participate and hopefully win or place in the tournament next year.
