TMI Episcopal rising senior Arly Tchou ā22 attended the National Student Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., this summer.
The National Student Leadership Conference is a program that hosts career-focused leadership conferences for select high school students (as well as some programs for middle school students) over the summer. Arly attended in July. The NSLC is a highly selective program that only accepts students with exceptional leadership and academic skills.
During the program, students live in college dorms and attend NSLC-hosted lectures and activities on campus. Program activities can include classes and lectures, guest speakers, leadership workshops, and off-campus field trips.
NSLC is a way to help participants gain leadership skills and learn about future careers while experiencing life on a college campus. The programs last between 6 and 18 days in length, depending on the subject they focus on.
Arly is a member of the TMI Basketball Team, Spanish Club, and serves as the JROTC S-1.
