TMI finishes in Top 10 in Track & Field State Championship, boys division

MAY 3, 2021 – This past weekend on Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, our TMI Episcopal Track & Field team members competed in the State Championships held in Waco, TX. TMI fielded five athletes in seven events and placed in the Top 10 in the boys division.

  • Cristobal ParraSilver Medal, 300 Hurdles; also broke his own school record with a 42.14. 
  • Franco ParraSilver Medal, 3200m (Franco is ranked #2 in the nation in the 3200m in his age group) and Bronze Medal, 1600m with a time and PR of 4:22.21 (placing him 3rd overall in the country in his age group).  
  • Marcelo ParraSilver Medal, 1600m and Bronze Medal, 3200m. Marcelo had a PR in both the 3200m (9:30.07) and 1600m (4:19.20), giving him the #1 ranking in the nation in his age group in the 1600m.
  • Jake Kilbride6th overall in the Boys 5A Discus Championship, breaking his own school record with a 118-05 throw. 
  • Bailey Fletcher – finished in the top 8 in 5A Boys 110 Hurdles. He was the only freshman in the top 8.
