On Thursday, April 15, 2021, the TMI Track & Field team excelled in their competitions â advancing 16 events to Regionals. (All Gold and Silver medalist will move on to Regionals.)
GIRLS TEAM
The girls team scored an impressive 67 points, coming in 4th place with a limited number of participants.
- GOLD: The team was led by Calista Perkins ’22, advancing to Regionals by winning the Gold in the open 100m.
- BRONZE: Alexis Block ’24 won the Bronze Medal and achieved a personal best in the open 800m.
- BRONZE: Banke Falebita ’23 won the Bronze medal in the Triple Jump and achieved a personal best in the 100m.
- BRONZE: Abby Muir ’23 won the Bronze Medal and achieved a personal best in the 100m Hurdles
- BRONZE: Caitlin Toohey ’22 won the Bronze medal in the 300m Hurdles and achieved a personal best in the 100m Hurdles.
- BRONZE & SCHOOL RECORD: The 4 x 400m relay team led by Caitlin Toohey ’22, Rachel Davis ’21, Gabby Beck ’23, and Alexis Block ’24 broke the school record with a time of 4:50.79 and won the Bronze medal.
- SCHOOL RECORD: Mikaela Mumme ’21 tied the school record with a height of 7 ft in the pole vault.
- PERSONAL BESTS: Gabby Beck ’23 achieved personal bests in both the open 400m and 800m, and Isabella Thrailkill ’23 achieved a personal best in the open 1600m.
BOYS TEAM
The boys team won the Boys District Championship and scored a record 213 team points! In addition, the boy’s relay teams swept the golds.
- GOLD: Chaz Bregman ’23 won the Gold and achieved a personal best in the 200m
- GOLD: Noah Bregman ’23 won the Gold in the 100m
- GOLD: Jake Kilbride ’22 won the Gold and broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 110-00
- GOLD & SCHOOL RECORD: Cristobal Parra ’23 won the Gold and broke the school record in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 42.12
- GOLD: Franco Parra ’24 won the Gold and achieved a personal best in the 800m
- GOLD: Franco Parra ’24 won the Gold and achieved a personal best in the 3200m
- GOLD: Marcelo Parra ’24 won the Gold and achieved a personal best in the 1600m
- GOLD: The 4 x 100m relay team with Bailey Fletcher ’24, Moises Lopez ’21, Chaz Bregman ’23, and Noah Bregman ’23
- GOLD: The 4 x 200m relay team with Noah Bregman ’23, Santigo Zamudio ’21, Anthony Fletcher ’21, and Andre Lopez ’23
- GOLD: The 4 x 400m relay team with Moises Lopez ’21, Marcelo Parra ’24, Patricio Parra ’21, and Jonathan Adams ’21
- SILVER: Ashton Dietzmann ’21 won the Silver and achieved a personal best in the Shot Put
- SILVER: Bailey Fletcher ’24 won the Silver in the 110m Hurdles
- SILVER: Cruise Lafreeda ’22 won the Silver and achieved a personal best in the High Jump
- SILVER: Franco Parra ’24 won the Silver in the 1600m
- SILVER: Marcelo Parra ’24 won the Silver in the 3200m
- BRONZE: Jonathan Adams ’21 won the Bronze and achieved a personal best in the open 400m
