TMI dean tapped for national study group

Sherry Brown, Upper School Dean of Students at TMI Episcopal, attended School Reform Initiative (SRI) Fall Meeting, Nov. 7-9 in Boston, as one of 19 school leaders chosen for the organization’s inaugural Leadership Academy.

This new group met for the first time at the Fall Meeting and will continue to gather monthly to work on initiatives related to equity in education, culminating in a retreat to be held June 2020 in Colorado.

Brown’s focus is student agency and voice in their own education experience. At TMI, she also is faculty sponsor for Student Council, teaches AP Literature and coordinates senior chapel talks.
