Students at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas collected a total of $1,899 to aid veterans with a Red, White and Blue Dress Day. Sponsored by the school’s chapter of Interact, a Rotary-sponsored youth service organization, the fundraiser allowed students who usually wear school uniforms to come to school wearing red, white and blue on Sept. 11 for a $5 donation.

Funds raised are to be donated to the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas Veterans Support Fund. Contributions help the diocese provide scholarships for families of wounded warriors to attend summer camp at Camp Capers and Family Camp at Mustang Island as well as two weeks of Wounded Warrior Project Family Camp at Duncan Park, the diocesan camp in Colorado, at no charge to the families or the organizations that serve them.
