Andrew Snyder, a sophomore at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas received the rank of Eagle Scout at a Board of Review on Aug. 12. This is the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouting; only about six percent of all Scouts earn Eagle rank.
Snyder is a member of Troop 1920, chartered to St. Helena’s Episcopal Church in Boerne. He will be recognized for his achievement at an Eagle Court of Honor to be held Jan. 31, 2015.
For his Eagle project, a major requirement for the rank, Andrew built a free-standing mailbox for Hill Country Mission for Health so the charity clinic could receive mail onsite.
At TMI, Snyder is a member of the lacrosse team, a stage manager with the technical theater crew and the recipient of an Award of Merit in math.
