TMI student recognized in national science contest

Lincoln Abbott, a sophomore at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas was named third runner-up for a Presidential Environmental Youth Award in environmental stewardship.

Competing in Region 6 (South Central) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Abbott won an award for his “GeoEngineering” project, in which he researched different substances that would best limit the transmission of visible light and heat through the atmosphere to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Established in 1972, the national program recognizes outstanding environmental contributions by young people.
