TMI student is tennis champ

Paulina Garcia, an eighth-grader at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, won first place in Girls 14 Singles at the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) sanctioned Clear Lake Champ Major Zone (CMZ) Tennis Tournament, held Sept. 8-9 at Clear Lake High School in Houston.

Playing on a hard-court surface, Garcia won four straight matches in two days, giving up only one single set for the entire tournament. After competing in the USTA Champs division for more than a year, she has advanced to the Super Champs Division, the highest level of junior tennis in Texas.
