TMI Episcopal Student Jayden Dacres Selected for National Youth Leadership Forum: STEM

San Antonio, TX — This summer, Jayden Dacres ’29, a standout student at TMI Episcopal, will represent his school and city at the prestigious National Youth Leadership Forum: STEM (NYLF STEM), hosted on the campus of Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.

Jayden was nominated to attend the immersive academic program by his science teacher, recognizing his strong leadership qualities and passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The NYLF STEM program, part of the Envision by WorldStrides family of educational experiences, brings together high-achieving students from across the country for hands-on learning opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

At TMI Episcopal, Jayden has already established himself as a leader among his peers. He served as President of the Middle School Student Council and was recently awarded the Senior Army Instructor Leadership Award as a member of the school’s JROTC program, the Corps of Cadets. He is also active in the Young Men’s Service League—a mother-son nonprofit volunteer organization—and participates in TMI’s middle school tennis team. Jayden’s interests span a wide array of academic and extracurricular areas, including science, engineering, architecture, and history.

“I am excited for Jayden to meet, work, and collaborate with fellow high-aspiring students from other cities and schools,” said Dr. Jan Sikorsky, Vice President of Education at Envision. “NYLF STEM is a wonderful opportunity for ambitious young students to explore their interests outside the classroom and discover how to innovate and think creatively through hands-on immersive learning.”

Now in its 35th year, Envision by WorldStrides empowers students to explore future careers, gain leadership skills, and make a positive impact on their communities. Since joining the WorldStrides family in 2018, Envision has continued to expand its reach, helping students across the country pursue transformative educational experiences.

TMI Episcopal congratulates Jayden Dacres on this exciting achievement and looks forward to seeing the impact he will make both at the forum and in the future.
