This past weekend, April 4–6, 2025, 26 TMI students represented our school with excellence at the Texas State Junior Classical League (TSJCL) Convention, hosted by Bellaire High School in Houston. Joining 64 schools from across the state, our Latin scholars competed in a wide range of academic, artistic, and athletic events.
We are thrilled to announce that both our Middle School and Upper School teams placed in the top ten of their respective divisions. The Middle School earned a 10th place trophy, while the Upper School brought home a 9th place trophy. Additionally, every individual TMI student received some sort of state recognition for their individual academic performance at the convention.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication, scholarship, and spirit our students displayed throughout the weekend. Their achievements reflect not only their hard work but also their commitment to the classics.
Individual results are listed below. Congratulations to all our Latin scholars!
Pentathlon awards. The Pentathlon is a general Latin knowledge test consisting of vocabulary, grammar, derivatives, mythology, and ancient Roman culture.
