Dear TMI Community,
We are pleased to announce that the Rev. Allie Melancon will join TMI as Assistant Chaplain, beginning April 13. She will serve alongside the Rev. Ben Nelson. Allie is passionate about discipleship, spiritual formation, community life, and servant leadership, especially walking alongside young people as they discover who God is calling them to be.
She joins TMI from St. Thomas Episcopal Church and School, where she has served as Curate and later Vice Rector for the past four and a half years. Prior to her ordination, Allie spent ten years in the Diocese of West Texas as Assistant Director and later Director of College Missions. During that time, she discovered a deep love for relational ministry and the work of building communities rooted in faith, trust, and belonging.
Outside of ministry, Allie enjoys spending time with her godchildren, whom she affectionately calls her “small humans,” as well as visiting the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico, fly fishing, reading a good book, and cooking meals to share with friends.
“I am so looking forward to being on campus, meeting students, faculty, and families, learning what excites you, and becoming part of the daily rhythms of life at TMI. I cannot wait to see what the rest of this year holds!”
