TMI art teacher awarded full scholarship

Melissa Cormier, a visual arts instructor at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas, has been awarded a full scholarship to attend the Art Educators’ Forum Summer Conference in June at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savanna, Ga.

At the conference, art teachers will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, project-based workshops that include demonstrations, lectures, studio work and local field trips, learning new skills that can be incorporated into their classrooms.

At TMI since 2009, Cormier teaches Basic Art and Digital Photography and is yearbook adviser.
